The long-delayed thriller Pathology, as previously reported, is opening in theaters on April 18th. Here’s the rub: It’s only getting a limited release. How “limited”?I got on the horn with the film’s co-writer Mark Neveldine (who penned the script with his partner Brian Taylor) last night who tells us it will make a 100-screen debut. Expect a rollout in all major cities across the U.S. Should Pathology find its audience and perform exceptionally well, it will go wider. We’ve heard rumblings that test audience reactions were very positive. The edgy nature of the story may be giving MGM cold feet, though. Starring Milo Ventimiglia, Lauren Lee Smith, Johnny Whitworth, Alyssa Milano, Keir O’Donnell and Michael Weston, Pathology is directed by Marc Schoelermann. Pathology has been officially slated for an April 18, 2008 release date. Keep your fingers crossed!Milo talks Heroes and GameWhile visiting the set of Nimrod Antal’s upcoming heist thriller Armored, we got a chance to talk with one of its stars, Milo Ventimiglia. He plays Peter Petrelli on the popular NBC drama Heroes. With the writers’ strike finally over, it looks like production on the long-in-hiatus program might be revving back to life. We chatted a little bit about the show with Milo. This is what he had to say:So, when are you going back to work on your day job?Milo Ventimiglia: Sometime in May.Do you have any idea what’s in store for Peter?Milo Ventimiglia: Ah, yes. I do. (Laughs) I think we have always had an idea about it. I’ve always tried to sit down with Tim Kring and the guys in charge. I want to understand where they plan on going so that I can mentally and physically prepare myself for that. If I am not prepared, it’s going to be shit work. So, they are always willing to get us where we need to go. They want us in the right mind space so that we can perform and do the best job we can. I do know a little bit about what Peter has coming up.
On February 21, 2008 Milo Ventimiglia attended the “Candies Footwear Line Event” held at the Hyde in Los Angeles. He was there to support his girlfriend Hayden Panettiere who is the new face behind the Candie’s clothing line for the Spring 2008 collection.
While no solid date has been set in stone, here is some insight on the whereabouts of Pathology..Release Update on Milo Ventimiglia’s PathologyFebruary 19, 2008Source: The Movie Blog, SlashFilmby Alex Billington At Comic-Con last year we were shown the first trailer for the Milo Ventimiglia thriller Pathology. The trailer eventually debuted online (watch it here) and the movie was supposed to be out in theaters at the end of November, but it was moved to February. Now that we’re in February, we still haven’t heard anything and now the movie has been moved to another unannounced date sometime in 2008. I’m a bit concerned, both that this means there might be problems with the movie or problems with the distributor, but we finally have an update from Crank directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. While Mark and Brian didn’t direct Pathology, they did write the film and produce it, so they’re very heavily involved. Over at our friend John’s site The Movie Blog, Mark and Brian joined in on their weekly podcast and spoke briefly about the status of Pathology. From what it seems, this is another case of the distributor being problematic and not giving the film the marketing, exposure, and support it deserves.Read the rest at the source by CLICKING HERE.
Milo is featured in a Khakis spread in the March issue of GQ magazine with Eric Bana on the cover. I’ve added the web images from GQ into the gallery. You can read the article by CLICKING HERE, direct from the source. Thanks, Richard!
Just added a handful of Heroes Season 2 stills with Milo/Peter in them. Thanks to Britt for the hand-up!
I’m sure a lot of you have already seen these videos, but there was a little bit on a news article about the DSC videos online…. Like Mr. O’Connell, the actor Milo Ventimiglia found himself unencumbered when the strike halted work on his popular NBC show “Heroes,” as well as a feature film he was developing with his producing partner, Russ Cundiff. So they began shooting a series of 30-second videos of themselves battling with “Star Wars”-style light sabers in mundane locations around Los Angeles, and posting the segments on YouTube. While the ambiguous, Zen-like clips have generated just tens of thousands of hits so far, they provided Mr. Ventimiglia and Mr. Cundiff a valuable diversion that has, in the words of Mr. Cundiff, prevented him from “playing a lot of Xbox, or just, like, looking at Milo and how pretty he is.” …SOURCEYou can view the guys’ videos by checking Russ’ account at http://youtube.com/user/russ181.
According to MGM’s official site, Pathology is due out for release on February 8th, this Friday! There hasn’t been much promotion for it, however, and no updates from the movie source itself have emerged since the push back from November. If anyone has any further information about Pathology, please email one of us or comment.
On February 1, 2008 Milo Ventimiglia attended the 2008 Super Bowl in Scottsdale.
