‘Heroes’ Season 3 Premiere Revealed! The line to get into Hall H, which housed panels for Heroes and Lost at Comic-Con on Saturday morning, was so massive that it nearly wrapped around the San Diego Convention Center. Some people camped out all night to get into the panels, and when I hopped in line about two hours before the hall opened there were thousands of people in front of me. Thankfully, I was able to get into the building and watch as Heroes creator Tim Kring unveiled the shocking first half of the two-hour season 3 premiere, entitled “The Second Coming.” Afterwards, cast members including Milo Ventimiglia, Greg Grunberg, Masi Oka and Hayden Panettiere took the stage for a short Q&A session.Read more at the SOURCE — WARNING: SPOILERS!I was one of the lucky viewers in this panel at Comic-Con, and Milo is absolutely right — Season 3 will MELT YOUR BRAIN!
Comic-Con ’08: Comic de MiloJuly 26, 2008Considering his role on NBC’s Heroes, it’s hardly a surprise to see Milo Ventimiglia working the San Diego Convention Center. Sure, he did his standard issue Q&A for his show, but Ventimiglia was also at Comic-Con to pump his new comic book, Rest. Along with partner Russ Cundiff, Ventimiglia came up with a story concept they were initially pitching for film or television, but were stymied by the writer’s strike. “We were forced to look at other avenues,” Ventimiglia explained from the second floor of Warner Bros.’ expansive location on the convention floor. That avenue was Devil’s Due Publishing, a comic book publisher.RestVentimiglia, who once had an overall deal at WBTV and starred in the studio’s The Gilmore Girls, maintained good relationships at Warners. The studio was more than happy to turn over some booth space and signing time to him.Ventimiglia describes Rest as a story “about a guy who take s a drug that suppresses his need to sleep.” The former sad sack sees his efficiency at work go through the roof, and turns his life around, but as Ventimiglia noted, “there’s always a downside.”On the upside was getting comic A-listers Roger Robinson to do a cover, Sean McManus to do the inside artwork and Mark Powers to write the story. “I was amazed to be in their company,” Ventimiglia said. The 99-cent preview is currently available, with the first book coming out in October. So now that the strike’s over, is Rest going to make it to a big or small screen soon? Ventimiglia is staying focused on what’s at hand. “What we’re interested in right now is making a great comic book,” he said. “I don’t think about too much beyond that.”SOURCEI attended this panel, and I just have to say, “Rest” sounds and looks VERY promising! Pick up the premiere issue now, available at comic retailers all over for just 99¢!
(source third photo(CIMG): http://macbrunstravelblogblogspot.com)By ERIN CARLSON – Associated Press Writer”Iron Man” isn’t the only superhero to visit the Middle East this summer. Milo Ventimiglia, who plays power-absorbing Peter Petrelli on NBC’s “Heroes,” traveled to the region last week as part of a USO tour of U.S. bases in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. He met many soldiers who were familiar with his show, and had strong opinions about his character’s nemesis, Sylar (played diabolically by Zachary Quinto).”When I was over in Iraq and Afghanistan, a lot of soldiers were like, ‘Dude, will you just kill Sylar already? Will you just get rid of him?’” Ventimiglia told The Associated Press during a telephone interview this week. “And I’m like, ‘Man, I don’t know if you’re gonna want that just yet. I think you’re going to be very surprised as to what happens.’”NBC-released video teasers for the series’ third season, premiering Sept. 22, promote the theme of the next “Heroes” chapter, titled “Villains.” In one clip, these ominous words pop up: “Good will battle evil. Because in every hero, there could be a villain.”In that case, could Peter – one of the so-called good guys – wind up swapping places with Sylar?

Pathology DVD Details, Art Source:MGM Home Entertainment July 9, 2008MGM Home Entertainment has announced the September 23rd DVD release of Pathology, starring Milo Ventimiglia, Lauren Lee Smith, Michael Weston and Alyssa Milano. Written by the Crank team, Neveldine/Taylor, the film received an unceremonious release earlier in the year (capsule review). It’s by no means perfect, but it didn’t deserve getting the shaft.
